Imagine animating your story, a vision, a dream or perhaps even a nightmare! With Shadow Puppetry a form that elicits the fantastic, the humorous in a magical and fun filled way. Welcome to Shadow Puppetry! Shadow Puppetry is an ancient yet contemporary form of animation. Using cut silhouettes, light, a screen and sound, students will learn basic puppet fabrication techniques, develop content with the goal to create a short table top Shadow Play for an in-class performance. Invite your family and friends to be amazed and moved by your Show!
The class will be in four 2 hour weekly sessions. I: Fabrication Techniques. The possibilities of content and story. II: Construction and Development III: Creation and Rehearsal IV: Performance.
*Please note, there is a 4-student minimum needed to run class.
