Bringing art activities to our Senior residents
With a grant from the Northwest Alliance Community Foundation in 2018, Frederic Arts was able to begin art activities with residents of Traditions Assisted Living in Frederic. “It’s important that they feel pride and a sense of accomplishment, and most importantly, the socializing that they get from the outside world. Frederic Arts fills a void that desperately needed to be filled.” said Mary Jo Bierman, Activities Director.
In June 2020, FA received a grant from Polk Burnett “Operation Round Up” to continue their venture. At that time due to covid, we were unable to be with our Tradition friends. FA along with local musicians provided live music outside of the facility for them to enjoy during the summer of 2020. FA volunteers also helped Traditions residents celebrate some seasonal holidays by making cards and decorations for their rooms.
