Accessibility

Frederic Arts qualified for a grant to develop a new elevated sloped sidewalk providing accessibility to the Art Center’s main floor for classes, meetings and events as well as a designated parking space. A land survey and an architect’s plan were completed earlier. The project signals our intent to be fully accessible and plans for a future accessible restroom project are being discussed. Approximately 75% of the total cost came in the form of a grant through the USDA’s Rural Development Community Facilities Program and was facilitated through Senator Tammy Baldwin’s office as a part of Congressionally Directed Spending.

Accessible Restroom?

In 2023, with local fundraising and a Federal grant, we installed a new parking space and walkway to provide full access to our Art Center main floor.  In 2024 we are now in the process of planning and fundraising for an addition to the main floor of the art center that would provide accessibility to an ADA compliant restroom which centers around a 12’ x 14’ space off the south side near the kiln shed.

Frederic Arts has partnered with the St Croix Valley giveBIG April 30, 2024 nonprofit fundraising campaign and we need your support as we continue to make our Art Center accessible to all!

Your generous support in 2024 will help us complete the Potty Project and we will be able to reach more people and provide many more opportunities to grow through the arts.

proposed addition for accessible restroom - estimated costs are $45 - 50,000
